Phil Gray over at Shades of Gray (Umbrae Canarum)<\/a> has taken a lengthy look at the Kerry campaign’s stategy of shut-up-and-go-away.<\/p>\n

Perhaps we should go over the things that Kerry cannot be critiqued about, as it would be a “smear” or “questioning his patriotism.”<\/p>\n

1.) His Vietnam service (fine with me – a messy business all the way around, that)
\n2.) His unique forum for protesting the war – i.e. a Senate committee
\n3.) His statements in #2
\n4.) Pronouncing “Ghengis” as “Jengis” (okay, okay, I doubt that the issue has come up, and it’s just a personal hang-up, so leave it to the side)
