Just wanted to thank two fine blogs for adding Target Centermass to their blogrolls:

    Argghhh!!! — I’m honored.
The Fire Ant Gazette — Love the many moods of Abbye.

Also, to update a recent Reciprocity, John at TexasBestGrok has moved Target Centermass from his “The Green Hills of Earth” category to his “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress” listing. Unfortunately, I haven’t read Robert Heinlein’s The Moon is a Harsh Mistress [hanging head in shame], so I don’t know how to interpret this. Rather than pester John, however, I have instead resolved to read it next and harass then, if necessary. FYI, John has a new SFBabe Poll up, so go vote on the hottest Dr. Who companions.

As always, if you’ve linked or blogrolled Target Centermass and I haven’t found you, please send an email or post a comment. No good deed should go unrewarded.

  • Reciprocity VIII

Just want to thank the latest to add Target Centermass to his blogroll:

    TexasBestGrok

I’m just guessing, but I suspect John at TexasBestGrok might be a fan of Robert A. Heinlein, one of the greats of science fiction. TBG is worth the regular look, if only for the Heinlein Quote of the Month, the weekly aircraft cheesecake post (check out the Blohm und Voss BV 141; I’d never seen it), and especially the regularly-featured Sci-Fi Babe Poll.

TBG has his links classified by Heinlein-related titles and Target Centermass is now listed under the “The Green Hills of Earth.” As a tribute to that, I send back this:

    The arching sky is calling
    Spacemen back to their trade.
All hands! Stand by! Free falling!
And the lights below us fade.
Out ride the sons of Terra,
    Far drives the thundering jet,
Up leaps the race of Earthmen,
Out, far, and onward yet —

We pray for one last landing
    On the globe that gave us birth;
Let us rest our eyes on fleecy skies
And the cool, green hills of Earth.

    Thanks for the link, sir.

As always, if you’ve linked or blogrolled Target Centermass and I haven’t found you, please send an email or post a comment. No good deed should go unrewarded.

  • Reciprocity VII

This will be a special Reciprocities entry. As of this afternoon, my old site (targetcentermass.com) was closed by my former hosting company, Bloghosts. I still have been unsuccessful in getting the domain transferred to my control, so will be spending a chunk of the evening asking (read begging) other blogs to update their links.

However, I first want to extend a special thanks to those who had previously blogrolled me and have already updated their links to the .net address:

I also want to acknowledge those who have newly linked to Target Centermass.net:

I even want to thank a new link to Target Centermass.com, though I hope the link will be updated to .net:

Also, if you’ve linked or blogrolled Target Centermass and I haven’t found you, please send an email or post a comment. No good deed should go unrewarded.

  • Reciprocity VI

I’m honored to be added to the blogroll of Bill Faith at Small Town Veteran.

Thanks for the link from Y’allBlog.

Go check out these blogs. Also, if you’ve linked or blogrolled Target Centermass and I haven’t found you, please send an email or post a comment.

  • Reciprocity V (with a bonus for Tolkien fans)

Taking a pause to thank the Llama Butchers for linking to two of my posts today.

Also, an extra thanks for their turning me on to this quiz about J.R.R. Tolkien and his works, both interesting in its format and challenging in the latter stages’ content. It has six levels and, if you successfully complete them, you’ll get the following message:

“Victory! Victory! Victory! Sauron has been defeated, Middle-Earth has been saved. Your quest is over and you have won! You have proven your excellent knowledge of Tolkien’s Middle-Earth…”

Damn, I’m a Tolkien geek. I’ll admit I was rusty, getting only 88 of 111 correct. Stages 4-6 are tough. The questions span The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion and Tolkien himself. Don’t bother if you’ve only seen the movies.

Also, if you’ve linked or blogrolled Target Centermass and I haven’t found you, please send an email or post a comment. No good deed should go unrewarded.

  • Reciprocity IV

Just taking a moment to thank those bloggers who have recently blogrolled or linked to Target Centermass:

    Thanks, y’all.

A special appreciation goes to elgato at The Swanky Conservative and a recent addition to the team over at Sgt. Stryker’s Daily Briefing. I am honored to be added to The Swanky Conservative’s blog links, as it was one of the three blogs that chiefly inspired me to begin this endeavor. Those three will always sit at the top of my blogroll.

  • Reciprocity II

I don’t know how he found me, but this guy linked to Target Centermass. After checking out his site, I recommend anybody who wants to really understand Texans check out this guy. For what it’s worth, I plan on hitting this guy’s camping business up some.

    The Fat Guy

I’d love to sip a brew with this guy at a Rider’s game. Comments section is wide open, Scott.
