  • Cedar Revolution

Sorry, folks, but I’ve just now logged off from work so I doubt there will be any blogging tonight.

I do want to point you to what I feel is the story of the day — the civil uprising and resulting governmental shake-up in Lebanon. Is freedom on the march? Time will tell, but the Lebanese may have a case of purple-finger envy.

Captain Ed at Captain’s Quarters covers it here, here, and here. He also looks at the NYT coverage here and contemplates the reasons behind the timing here. Hell, just go read his blog regularly.

Robert Mayer at Publius Pundit does a solid job of rounding up news and blogging on the momentous occasion here (hat tip to OTB)

  • Well, Crap

I had a post ready and two stories lined up to be blogged next when my PC bit it. Since then, I’ve been pulling maintenance. The sad thing is that this is happening on the best traffic day Target Centermass has seen to date, thanks to Jeff at Beautiful Atrocities.

For my new visitors who actually bother to check other pages not associated with a particular oral sperm-bank legal mess, please feel free to look around the place. Meanwhile, I’ll chip away at my PC issues and will blog again soon. Hopefully, I’ll at least reconstruct my planned post before I bail for the night.

  • Reciprocity XI

As is the custom here at Target Centermass, I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge other blogs who have blogrolled or linked to my site.

First, thanks to the following for adding TCm to their blogrolls:

Second, thanks to the following for recent links to TCm posts:

Third, I wanted once again to point out two links for Texas bloggers:

    TexasBlogfest 2005

As always, if you’ve linked or blogrolled Target Centermass and I haven’t found you, please send an email or post a comment. No good deed should go unrewarded.

  • Eason on down the Road

    Goodbye, Mr. Jordan.

CNN’s Chief News Exec Resigns Amid Furor

Outside the Beltway has a nice roundup of reactions from the blogosphere here.

Kevin Aylward at Wizbang! makes an excellent point on the matter here.

Jordan ignored the Lott/Reins/Rather rule of dealing with blog swarms: It’s the stonewalling and coverups that do you in…

  • A Get-to-know-me Meme

Carrying on a meme found by Phil at Shades of Gray (Umbrae Canarum), here’s a chance for y’all to both entertain and get to know me, your humble blogger.

It’s simple, and if anyone participates by leaving a comment, I will respond early next week.

    A. First, recommend to me:
    1. A movie:
    2. A book:
    3. A musical artist, song, or album:

    B. Ask me three questions, no more, no less. You may ask me anything you want (however, I reserve the right to weasel out of answering if I feel it’s necessary!).

    C. Copy and paste this in your blog. (Well, only if you feel like it!)

  • Reciprocity X

Just wanted to thank two blogs for their attention to Target Centermass:

Also, Target Centermass has recently joined the Homespun Bloggers, a “group of family-friendly bloggers who blog for no financial gain. (Note: A blogger may gain some financial benefit from his or her blog, but that compensation should not be a ‘major’ source of income (you be the judge).)” It seems to be quite a varied group of blogs — go give them a look.

As posted recently, I wanted to acknowledge once again two links for Texas bloggers:

    TexasBlogfest 2005

As always, if you’ve linked or blogrolled Target Centermass and I haven’t found you, please send an email or post a comment. No good deed should go unrewarded.

  • Remembering the Horror: Auschwitz

Today is the sixtieth anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. I’ll bow to Guy at Snugg Harbor to honor the date and examine the horror here and here. WARNING: Guy posts that images in the second link are not safe for work, though I disagree. I put it at PG-13, and a must-see and a must-remember for all older.

  • Reciprocity IX

Just wanted to thank two fine blogs for adding Target Centermass to their blogrolls:

    Argghhh!!! — I’m honored.
The Fire Ant Gazette — Love the many moods of Abbye.

Also, to update a recent Reciprocity, John at TexasBestGrok has moved Target Centermass from his “The Green Hills of Earth” category to his “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress” listing. Unfortunately, I haven’t read Robert Heinlein’s The Moon is a Harsh Mistress [hanging head in shame], so I don’t know how to interpret this. Rather than pester John, however, I have instead resolved to read it next and harass then, if necessary. FYI, John has a new SFBabe Poll up, so go vote on the hottest Dr. Who companions.

As always, if you’ve linked or blogrolled Target Centermass and I haven’t found you, please send an email or post a comment. No good deed should go unrewarded.

  • Attention, Lone Star Bloggers 2

There’s a new group blog started for Texas bloggers named, surprisingly enough, Texas Bloggers. From the founder, Bunker at Bunker Mulligan:

This site will become, I hope, a forum for all bloggers in Texas. It is blog-oriented. It is not a political site. I would like to see it become somewhere for bloggers from around the State to offer advice and assistance to others, and as a way to publicize Texas bloggers and the things they are doing in regard to media, traditional and digital.

Feel free to drop by and say hello to the Lone Star State.

  • Attention, Lone Star Bloggers

    TexasBlogfest 2005

Some folks are trying to rustle up a gathering of Texas bloggers. The festivities (few details decided as of yet, though they’ve apparently managed group hotel rates) are planned for Mar. 18-20 in the Addison/North Dallas area. As I currently reside in that vicinity, I’m probably good for some degree of participation. In the hopes that that doesn’t dissuade anyone, more information can be found here. (hat tip to TexasBug, queen of the Aggie Webring)
